The glacier relatively close to the hut (Vuomahytta) would have been a nice goal for a day trip, I think. It would have still been a day of hiking, as two thirds of the distance there wouldn’t have been a path. However, we didn’t schedule a rest day in our hiking trip in Norway, and so we just headed to the next hut on this lovely morning. And it’s likely that the glacier isn’t there anymore, due to human made climate crisis (to which we also participated by flying here).
